Conservation Agriculture National Taskforce The CA National Taskforces will be comprised of representatives and implementers of CA in the country (Government, Private Sector, NGOs, Civil Society Organizations, Farmers Unions, UN Agencies, Donors, Global/National Agricultural Research Institutes and Universities).  The Functions of the CA National Task Forces will be (not presented in order of priority):
  • Provide a forum to facilitate linkages/networks for CA
  • Facilitate  Training and Adoption of CA
  • Advocate / Influence Agricultural and other Policy on CA.
  • Raise issues, such a Gender relationships and how they may influence CA
  • Advocacy / awareness / Information Dissemination
  • Provide a forum for debate and facilitate  further reflective learning
  • Recommended Strategy / Protocols for Facilitation / Roll out of a CA
  • Ensure that CA Principles / Protocols are Clearly Defined
  • Define and facilitate resourcing of CA and research studies as required
  • General Guidelines as to composition of Task Force
  • Facilitate  further learning
ROLES OF CARWG ROLES OF NCATFs
Coordinate the work of stakeholders with aregional perspective on CA development Coordinate the work of stakeholders with anational perspective on CA development
Develop and run regional projects related to CA promotion Identify entry points for CA at community level and run national projects to promote CA
Support the development and activities of NCATFs Provide support and input to CARWG for regional initiatives.
Resources mobilization for regional CA activities and in support of NCATFs Resource mobilization for national CA activities.
